Ahmadiyya Jalsa Salana UK 2026 opens with leader’s inspection and emphasis on volunteer hospitality

The annual Ahmadiyya Muslim Community convention, Jalsa Salana, began in the United Kingdom on 24‑25 July 2026, drawing volunteers and guests from many countries. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, visited the site the day before to review kitchens, the roti plant, butchery, exhibition halls and fire‑safety procedures, and addressed volunteers on politeness, hospitality and safety.

In the opening Friday sermon, he highlighted the religious duty of hospitality, citing Qur‑an and Prophetic teachings, and praised the volunteer staff who leave their jobs to serve guests for weeks. He warned of fire risk due to dry conditions and noted heightened anti‑Muslim sentiment, urging vigilance and adherence to safety protocols.
