Ahmadiyya leaders urge moral discipline in Ghana’s digital age

During the National Convention (Ijtema) of Majlis Ansarullah Ghana in Wa, religious and government leaders called for increased moral discipline and responsible digital engagement to protect national unity.

Maulvi Noor Mohammed Bin Salih, the Ameer and Missionary-in-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, warned that rising intolerance and hostile rhetoric could threaten the country’s religious harmony. He emphasized that morality should be a conscious commitment to the common good and human dignity rather than a mere outward display of religious identity.

Upper West Regional Minister Charles Lwanga Puozuing acknowledged the benefits of digital connectivity but cautioned against the spread of disinformation, hate speech, and indecency on online platforms. The convention, themed ‘Upholding Moral Excellence in the Digital Age: The Role of Ansarullah’, drew thousands of delegates from Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, and Burkina Faso.

Additionally, Maulvi Bin Salih addressed regional infrastructure issues, expressing concern over the deteriorating highway network connecting southern Ghana to the Upper West Region.
