Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at celebrates 50th anniversary in Abeokuta

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria’s elders group, Majlis Ansarullah, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the Olumo 2026 Golden Jubilee Conference in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Scheduled from August 19 to August 23, 2026, the event is centered on the theme ‘Faith-Based Solutions to Global Challenges.’

The conference aims to explore how religious values can influence education, healthcare, peacebuilding, and humanitarian action. Guest lecturer Saheed Timehin emphasized that while theological beliefs differ, shared ethical values such as justice, fairness, and human dignity can provide a foundation for global cooperation and social stability.

In addition to lectures and spiritual activities, the anniversary includes a two-day free medical outreach at the General Hospital in Iberekodo. The event is expected to host leaders from several African nations, including Benin Republic, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Cameroon, and Sierra Leone, alongside various Nigerian political and traditional leaders.
