Ahmet Dal marks 1,500 days as Erzurumspor FK president

Ahmet Dal has completed 1,500 days as the president of Erzurumspor FK, setting a new record for the longest tenure in the club's history. Previously, the record was held by Hüseyin Üneş with 709 days.

Dal assumed leadership following the resignation of Ömer Düzgün in July 2022. During his presidency, the club underwent significant institutional changes, including a name change from Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor to Erzurumspor FK and a visual identity update.

Despite facing challenges such as transfer bans, financial difficulties, earthquake impacts, and stadium issues, the club achieved a steady sporting ascent. After finishing 13th in the 2022-2023 season and 10th in the 2023-2024 season, the team secured a play-off spot in 2024-2025. In the 2025-2026 season, Erzurumspor FK won the 1. Lig championship with 81 points, earning direct promotion to the Süper Lig after a five-year absence.
