Ahmet Deniz earns admission to Hacettepe Medical Faculty

Ahmet Deniz, an 18-year-old from the Akseki district of Antalya, has earned admission to the English-language medical program at Hacettepe University. Despite living in a nylon tent for approximately 12 years while his parents worked as forest laborers, Deniz achieved a significant rank of 636th in Turkey in the numerical category of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS).

During his holidays, Deniz assisted his parents with heavy physical labor, including peeling logs and cleaning logging areas. He maintained his studies by utilizing any available time between his manual labor and schoolwork. His father, Mehmet Deniz, noted that Ahmet achieved this success through his own determination and discipline without being pressured to study.
