Ahmet Göksu Special Volleyball Tournament begins in Turkey

The Ahmet Göksu Special Volleyball Tournament commenced at the Selim Sırrı Tarcan Zeren Volleyball Hall, organized by Zeren Spor to honor the memory of the late Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) Vice President Ahmet Göksu.

During the opening ceremony, TVF President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ paid tribute to Göksu, describing him as his “most precious companion” and noting the irreplaceable mark he left on the volleyball community. The three-day event, held from September 16 to 18, features teams including İlbank, Kuzeyboru from Aksaray, and Nilüfer Belediyespor from Bursa.

Üstündağ also remarked on the high caliber of athletes participating in the tournament, noting that many have achieved significant international success and represented the national flag on global podiums.
