Ahmet İmre holds first solo art exhibition in Kütahya

Artist and teacher Ahmet İmre has opened his first solo exhibition, titled ‘Mekânın Hafızası’ (Memory of the Place), at the Ahmet Yakupoğlu Painting Museum in Kütahya. The museum operates under the Dumlupınar University Museums Coordination.

Born and raised in Kütahya, İmre’s works focus on the emotional and mnemonic traces left by various locations rather than direct landscape replication. His atmospheric style incorporates elements such as skies, fog, plains, and trees, occasionally featuring small human figures to emphasize the relationship between humanity and nature. İmre described the common sentiment of his paintings as being composed of ‘poetry, calm, and thought.’

The exhibition serves as a visual interpretation of the city’s memory through the artist's personal connection to his hometown.
