Ahmet Mücahit Arınç calls for youth and women in politics

Manisa Deputy Ahmet Mücahit Arınç addressed students at Antalya Belek University, emphasizing the necessity of increasing the representation of women and young people in decision-making mechanisms to strengthen democratic life.

During a seminar titled ‘The Role of Youth in Country Management,’ Arınç discussed the importance of civil society organizations (NGOs) in preparing the next generation for political involvement. He noted that NGOs help cultivate a culture of collaboration and provide practical experience in identifying and solving societal issues.

Arınç highlighted a demographic gap in Turkish politics, noting that while the 18-29 age group constitutes approximately 20 percent of the total electorate, representatives under the age of 30 in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey account for less than 2 percent.
