Ahmetcan Kaplan joins NEC Nijmegen from Ajax

NEC Nijmegen has officially signed Turkish defender Ahmetcan Kaplan on a permanent transfer from Ajax. Kaplan, who spent the previous season at NEC on loan, has committed to the club with a contract running until June 30, 2030.

Reports indicate the transfer fee paid to Ajax is approximately 2.5 million Euro. Kaplan will wear the number 22 jersey. NEC Nijmegen manager Carlos Aalbers expressed satisfaction with the signing, noting that the club had been working behind the scenes to secure the player for some time.

Kaplan is currently managing an injury and will begin a rehabilitation program with the team. The club aims to have him ready for selection following the September international break.
