AHMSA and MINOSA auction slated for September 25, 2026
The court‑appointed syndic of Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA) and its mining subsidiary Minera del Norte (MINOSA) submitted a detailed auction calendar to the Second District Court for Commercial Bankruptcies. The proposal sets Friday, 25 September 2026 as the tentative date for the hearing that will finalize the sale of the assets as a single productive unit.
The schedule outlines all stages of the special enajenation process, from approval of the final auction bases and publication of the official call, to data‑room access, on‑site visits, submission of guarantees, selection of the winning bidder, and subsequent legal formalities. The dates are provisional and must be approved or amended by the court. The syndic emphasised that the timeline aims to give investors sufficient time for analysis while providing certainty to workers, creditors and other stakeholders.
The proposed auction follows a court‑mandated 24‑hour submission deadline and incorporates considerations such as the judicial summer recess and the need for transparent access to technical information.
