AHMSA former workers await severance payments

Former workers of AHMSA are awaiting severance payments following court validation of liquidation lists. Workers have until August 28 to verify their seniority and inclusion in the lists. However, the actual disbursement of funds is not expected until next year, following a scheduled auction of AHMSA set for September 25.

Under current legal frameworks, payments will be calculated based on seniority rather than collective bargaining agreements. Specifically, former employees are entitled to 480 days of salary (twelve days for each year worked), subject to a legal cap of two minimum daily wages. Additional proportional payments for Christmas bonuses and vacations from the final unpaid period are also expected.
