Ahold Delhaize expands digital grocery and improves Bol platform transparency
Ahold Delhaize is accelerating its digital grocery operations across Europe and the United States, investing in automated fulfilment centres, robotics, artificial intelligence and data‑driven inventory management to speed home deliveries, click‑and‑collect and in‑store shopping. The retailer aims to create an omnichannel experience, enhance personalised promotions and reduce food waste while pursuing sustainability goals.
Following a review by the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM), Bol – the online store of Ahold Delhaize – will provide sales partners with more data and analytics, clarify price displays and improve complaint handling, the Buy Box and the terms for Select Deals. The changes are intended to increase transparency and ease of use for both consumers and partners.
These initiatives reflect the group’s broader strategy to combine physical supermarkets with expanding digital services while meeting regulatory expectations.
