Ahome and legislative commissions advance social and security initiatives

In Ahome, Sinaloa, Mayor Antonio Menéndez de Llano Bermúdez has overseen several initiatives focused on public services and social welfare. Key actions include the rehabilitation of sanitary networks in Nuevo San Miguel and storm drainage improvements in Ejido 9 de Diciembre. The administration is also coordinating with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to improve response times for power outages caused by rain.

Additionally, the municipality hosted the national ‘Sembrando Vida’ program and held activities to preserve Yoreme culture. On a legislative level, parliamentary commissions are advancing several social and security proposals. These include a tax benefit project to provide monthly compensation for expenses related to diapers and medicines for families, as well as reforms to strengthen municipal public security and crime prevention frameworks.
