Ahome announces tax discount campaign for property and traffic fines

The Ahome City Council has announced the ‘Descuentos del Mes Patrio’ campaign, offering significant tax relief to local taxpayers. Running from September 14 to September 21, the program provides a 100 percent discount on fines and surcharges for urban and rural property taxes, market fees, public space usage, advertising signs, and real estate acquisition taxes.

Additionally, the campaign includes a 60 percent discount on traffic fines, though certain exceptions apply, such as violations involving alcohol use, medical certificates, disability areas, bicycles, and designated pregnancy parking. Residents can make payments via debit or credit cards, with options for interest-free installments of three or six months available through participating banks.
