Ahome authorities maintain safety cordons in Parque Sinaloa

Authorities in Ahome have decided to maintain safety cordons around a section of Parque Sinaloa that borders Plaza Fiesta Las Palmas. While some areas near the main Rosales entrance are set to reopen, the perimeter wall adjacent to the Ley store warehouse will remain delimited due to structural risks.

Mario Cosme Gallardo, the Ahome Civil Protection coordinator, noted that the specific area near the carved crocodile tree and the ethnobiological garden remains under observation. Ahaste Mayor Antonio Menéndez de Llano Bermúdez supported the decision, stating that the wall poses a high probability of collapse, especially if wind speeds exceed 30 to 40 km/h. The administration is prioritizing user safety to prevent accidents while determining long-term solutions.
