Ahome initiatives promote labor equality and women's health

In Ahome, Sinaloa, the Secretariat of Women has launched a call for local workplaces to apply for the ‘Distintivo Violeta 2026’ (Violet Distinction). This initiative, supported by the State Secretariat of Women and the Secretariat of Economy, aims to promote labor equality and prevent discrimination against women in the workplace.

Simultaneously, the Mexican Association of Women Business Leaders (Ammje) in Los Mochis has announced a health campaign for October. The organization signed six agreements with local laboratories and specialists to provide discounted preventive studies for its members and collaborators. The campaign also includes participation in ‘El árbol de vida Rosa’ to raise funds for Grupo Reto, an organization dedicated to the early detection of breast cancer and breast reconstruction services.
