Ahome municipal authorities implement infrastructure and health services

In Ahome, Sinaloa, Mayor Antonio Menéndez de Llano Bermúdez is overseeing several municipal initiatives. The local water authority, JAPAMA, has launched a maintenance program for fire hydrants in the Canteras and Viñedos sectors to ensure emergency readiness. Additionally, infrastructure repairs are underway in the La Memoria sector, involving the replacement of 231 meters of 24-inch piping and hydraulic concrete paving, with completion expected by mid-December.

The municipality is also addressing road conditions through pothole repair programs. This includes official efforts by the Secretariat of Public Works and collaborative work with local content creator Víctor Ordóñez, known as “Lonche de Huevito,” who has been repairing potholes in the city.

In social services, the Ahome City Council, in coordination with DIF and the Secretariat of Women, conducted a comprehensive health and legal services day in the Bacorehuis fishing camp. The event provided free medical consultations, women’s health screenings, and legal and psychological counseling to local families.
