Puebla to deploy four paving trains for roadworks in November

Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier announced that starting November 1, four paving trains will be deployed to Huejotzingo, Chiautla, Chignahuapan, and Tehuacán. These infrastructure projects aim to improve community access, mobility, and the transport of goods through agreements with municipal governments.

In Huejotzingo, work will begin on the boulevard connecting to the Hermanos Serdán International Airport terminal, followed by the San Martín Texmelucan-Huejotzingo route. In the Mixteca region, projects will cover the stretch from Izúcar de Matamoros to Chiautla de Tapia, including a new route to the San Carlos vacation center. In Chignahuapan, improvements will focus on the connection to Zacatlán to support the gastronomic and tourist corridor between the two Pueblos Mágicos.

The project includes three-lane roads, bike lanes, and expansions. Another work front will address the Tepeaca-Acatzingo route. Armenta Mier noted that of the eight available paving trains, four remain dedicated to the state capital under a cost-sharing agreement where the City Council covers 50 percent of the expenses.
