Ahome municipal government holds community celebrations and social service drives
The Ahome municipal government has conducted community outreach and social celebrations in Sinaloa. The Municipal Institute of Art and Culture (IMAC) and the Ahome DIF System organized a Grandparents' Day event featuring music, dancing, and the coronation of Evangelina Portillo Medina and Arturo Gil as the 2026 Grandparents' Day Kings.
Additionally, the Caravanas del Bienestar program provided essential services to over 500 residents in the El Atún community. These services included medical, dental, and nutritional consultations, legal and psychological orientation, and assistance with housing improvement requests and orthopedic devices. Local authorities also used the initiative to identify infrastructure needs, such as public lighting and water drainage, for follow-up action.
