Ahsanur Rahman appointed CEO of Dhaka Bank Securities

Dhaka Bank Securities Limited has appointed Mohammad Ahsanur Rahman as its managing director and chief executive officer. Rahman brings over 18 years of experience in the Bangladesh capital market to the role.

Prior to this appointment, Rahman served as the chief operating officer of UCB Stock Brokerage Limited. He also spent nearly six years as the CEO of BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited, where he managed business expansion, risk management, and digital transformation initiatives, including the implementation of an order management system and integration with the Astha platform and bKash.

Throughout his career, Rahman has managed institutional sales and trading operations involving global funds and international brokers, and has participated in investor roadshows in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Under his leadership at BRAC EPL, the firm received the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission’s Independence Golden Jubilee Award 2023 in the broker-dealer category.
