AI adoption grows in Polish consumer habits and medical diagnostics
Recent developments highlight the expanding role of artificial intelligence in both consumer behavior and medical diagnostics in Poland.
A report co-authored by Shopfully Poland indicates that 65.5% of young Poles aged 18-35 use AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot, to assist in purchasing decisions. While most use these tools only occasionally or rarely, 12.2% utilize them regularly. The primary benefits cited by consumers include saving time and managing information overload during product comparisons and review checks.
In the medical field, a study published in Nature Medicine details the use of the Retina4IRD system, an AI-based clinical decision support tool. Developed with contributions from researchers at the University of Warmia and Mazury, the system assists doctors in diagnosing inherited retinal diseases (IRD). By analyzing fundus photographs, OCT images, and clinical data, the technology helps identify complex genetic conditions that are often difficult to diagnose through traditional methods alone.
