AI adoption reaches 90% of engineering and consulting firms

A new barometer released by OPIIEC, supported by OPCO Atlas, reveals that 90% of companies within the engineering and consulting sector have adopted artificial intelligence. Most firms have been utilizing these tools for one to two years.

While adoption is widespread, particularly in the digital sector, the report highlights a gap in training preparedness. Although approximately 80% of companies have implemented training actions, only 20% have clearly identified their specific needs in this area. OPIIEC members Sylvain Julhes and Jean-Guy Duba emphasized the importance of helping employees develop specialized skills to manage the evolving impact of AI on professional roles and organizational structures.
