AI adoption saves over 1 million hours for Brazilian lawyers

A study by the legal technology company Jusfy indicates that artificial intelligence is significantly altering the routines of Brazilian law firms. Between June and September 2026, approximately 36,500 lawyers used Jusfy's AI tools to produce roughly 285,000 legal documents. This activity represents an estimated productivity gain of 1.14 million hours, though the company notes that depending on task complexity, the actual time saved could range between 500,000 and 2.8 million hours.

Contrary to the perception that technology is primarily used by younger professionals, the research shows that lawyers aged 40 to 59 have higher average usage rates than younger age groups. This suggests that professional experience is not a barrier to adopting new technologies.

In conjunction with these technological shifts, the OAB-GO, in partnership with Casag, ESA-GO, and Sebrae Goiás, is hosting the 2nd Meeting on Law Firm Management on October 14. The event aims to address the necessity of organizational processes, emphasizing that AI is most effective when implemented within firms that have defined workflows, controlled deadlines, and organized information.
