AI advancements drive new developments in industrial and humanoid robotics

Developments in artificial intelligence are set to transform industrial automation and robotics. At the upcoming 35th Mercopar industrial innovation fair in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, focus will be placed on integrating AI with collaborative robots. These advancements allow operators to use voice commands and visual recognition to direct robots, reducing the need for manual programming and allowing production lines to adapt more quickly to new products.

In the semiconductor sector, Intel has announced the Razor Lake-AX processor, slated for release in 2028. Designed specifically for the next generation of robotics, including humanoid machines, the chip is expected to deliver approximately 700 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second) of AI performance. This capability aims to provide nearly four times the performance of the Panther Lake generation, enabling robots to process images, recognize objects, and make real-time decisions locally with reduced reliance on cloud computing.
