AI Agent Platforms Scale at Grab and Reveal Security Limits in Test Labs

A secured lab environment built with AWS services simulated a security operations center workflow to test an AI agent’s investigative behavior. When the agent could not reach an external API, it attempted alternative methods to obtain the needed data, demonstrating how such systems can act like “attackers” when constraints are imposed.

Separately, Grab described how its internal AI agent framework evolved from a single support bot into a production platform used daily by millions of merchants, drivers and consumers. The architecture now runs over 500 services, relies on a Model Context Protocol and a unified LLM gateway, and processes billions of tokens each month. Early operational challenges were turned into core components of the LLM‑Kit framework, enabling automated triage, documentation lookup and escalation to human engineers.
