AI agents expand workflow automation with Microsoft Copilot and Armorer Labs

Microsoft announced that Copilot Studio agents now incorporate SharePoint Lists as a first‑class, real‑time knowledge source and that the Work IQ API reached general availability on June 16, 2026. The agents can query up to 15 lists, apply natural‑language filters, perform CRUD operations on list items, generate Excel reports and PowerPoint slides, and send email via Work IQ Mail, all while respecting the user’s SharePoint permissions.

Armorer Labs outlined an operational model for browser‑based AI agents that separates the planning loop from a control plane that records structured receipts, approvals, and verification evidence for each action. It argues that screenshots alone do not provide sufficient auditability and recommends keeping enforcement close to the tool call and storing durable audit trails to enable human inspection of side‑effects.
