AI and semiconductor demand drive record revenues for Hon Hai and Chien Fu
The semiconductor and AI sectors are driving significant revenue growth for major electronics and engineering firms. Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn) and its subsidiaries have reported record-breaking financial results, largely attributed to the global surge in AI and high-performance computing (HPC) demand.
Industrial Fu Lian, a key subsidiary, reported a massive increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, driven by its position as a leading global supplier of AI servers. The company maintains a strong partnership with NVIDIA, serving as a supplier for high-speed switches and GPU modules. Meanwhile, Hon Hai Group has successfully established AI as a second growth engine alongside its traditional role as an Apple assembler.
In the engineering sector, Chien Fu Industrial reported its highest-ever revenue for the first three quarters of 2026, reaching 3.89 billion TWD. This growth is fueled by increased capital expenditure in the semiconductor industry, specifically for high-end wafer fab construction and facility systems. The company is also expanding into high-value markets, including quantum computing equipment and aerospace defense.
