Artificial intelligence is transforming how businesses manage and analyze complex documentation, particularly within the construction and procurement sectors. In the building and public works (BTP) industry, analyzing tender documents—which can consist of hundreds of pages across multiple technical files—traditionally requires one to two days of manual labor.

AI tools are significantly reducing this workload by extracting structured summaries, identifying key dates, and flagging unusual clauses. Major companies are already seeing substantial efficiency gains: Eiffage reported reducing consultation file analysis from two days to twenty minutes, while VINCI Construction developed an internal tool that performs similar tasks in approximately thirty seconds.

Beyond construction, AI is being utilized to solve general business challenges regarding information retrieval. Instead of manually searching through fragmented folders, emails, and cloud storage, companies are using AI to query their own datasets directly to find specific contract terms, expiration dates, or payment conditions.
