AI automation platforms expand Model Context Protocol integrations

Automation and process management companies are expanding the utility of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to better integrate AI assistants with business data.

Nintex has launched an open beta for its Process Manager MCP Server. This allows AI assistants, such as Claude or Microsoft Copilot, to interact directly with live Process Manager instances using plain language. The beta focuses on secure, read-only discovery and retrieval, intended to help organizations audit their process libraries and establish baselines before deploying full automation agents.

Meanwhile, the automation platform n8n is developing a streamlined onboarding process for MCP servers within agent-driven workflows. This update aims to simplify connections via an OAuth sign-in flow, allowing users to select servers directly from a node panel. n8n has signaled a growing catalog of integrations, including services like Airtable, Miro, Grafana, and New Relic, to reduce friction when building AI agents that require access to external operational data.
