AI chatbots deter Gen Z dating and drive workplace reliance

Surveys show that AI chatbots are influencing personal and professional interactions among younger people. A Pew Research Center poll found that 70% of Gen Z respondents would not date someone who uses AI to interpret their emotions, and more than half feel uncomfortable with a partner discussing sexual matters with a chatbot. In the workplace, MyIQ reports that 74% of employees prefer asking a chatbot for help rather than turning to a colleague, a trend linked to reduced collaboration and learning within teams. The findings highlight growing reliance on generative AI for emotional support and routine tasks, while raising concerns about diminished human connection in both dating and work environments.
