Anthropic has launched an "Auto" mode for its Claude Code assistant, allowing the model to carry out safe operations—such as local file edits or declared dependency installations—without human confirmation. A dedicated classifier evaluates each action’s risk in real time, automatically blocking or prompting for review of potentially dangerous commands like mass deletions, external communications or production deployments.
