AI could automate 80% of tire design work

At the Tire Society’s 45th Annual Conference on Tire Science and Technology, experts discussed how artificial intelligence could automate up to 80% of tire design work. Speakers noted that AI agents can combine laboratory data, track testing, and simulations to complete design tasks in seconds.

Bruno Finco and Girish Radhakrishnan of the startup MOVEdot AI presented research on how AI agents accelerate design cycles. The shift aims to move tire engineering from a testing-centered process toward one utilizing digital twins and predictive models, allowing engineering teams to focus on high-level decision-making and validation.
