TCL launches Google Gemini AI on Brazil Smart TVs, while NOS unveils AI‑powered Android TV box in Portugal

Portuguese telecom operator NOS introduced a new Android TV 14 box that incorporates a dedicated neural‑processing unit (NPU) to run artificial‑intelligence tasks locally. The hybrid device supports 4G connectivity, Far‑Field Voice control with Google Assistant, 4K HDR10+ video, Dolby Atmos audio and a chassis made from 100 % recycled plastic.

Chinese‑Brazilian manufacturer TCL SEMP announced that its latest Google TV models in Brazil will receive Google’s Gemini AI. The integration lets users converse with the television in natural language, ask open‑ended questions, receive contextual content recommendations and control smart‑home devices without relying on fixed voice commands. TCL highlighted the feature’s ability to maintain conversation context, personalize suggestions based on viewing preferences and expand the TV’s role as a home‑entertainment hub.
