AI Festa 2026 showcases shift toward practical AI infrastructure and reliability

At the AI Festa 2026 event in Seoul, major technology players presented advancements in artificial intelligence, shifting the focus from model development to practical industrial application and reliability.

OpenAI highlighted its vision of AI as 'intelligence infrastructure,' similar to electricity, capable of performing complex tasks through AI agents. The company noted that AI is evolving from simple conversational tools into work partners that can manage multi-step processes, such as research, data analysis, and document creation.

KT emphasized that AI competitiveness is moving from model performance to actual business outcomes. The company identified trust, efficiency, and execution as the three pillars for successful AI transformation (AX), addressing concerns regarding data security, hallucination, and high token costs.

ThinkforBL introduced technologies to ensure AI reliability by diagnosing data bias and redundancy. They argued that data quality and composition are more critical than sheer volume for ensuring AI functions correctly in sensitive sectors like public service, policing, and defense.

Yul System showcased 'i-TRACE,' a solution designed to convert 2D engineering drawings into structured, AI-ready data. This technology utilizes Vision-Language Models to automate the analysis of plant piping and instrumentation diagrams, facilitating digital twin integration and automated material list calculations.
