AI Forums in Latin America Emphasize Human Empowerment and Business Autonomy

In Mexico City, HONOR and El Universal hosted a Digital AI Forum where officials such as David Moheno (HONOR Latin America), Pável Reyes, journalist Miguel Ángel Romero and Qualcomm’s Mike Romero explained that artificial intelligence is meant to empower and evolve users rather than replace them. Moheno said the technology "comes to empower, evolve" and warned that "the man will not go to the moon alone; those who learn to use AI will stand out tomorrow." The panel also stressed the need for proper prompting, data‑protection safeguards and transparency.

Meanwhile, the Festival IA in the Dominican Republic featured Edward Canney of Nimble Gravity presenting on autonomous enterprises. He showed how AI can dramatically shorten operations—turning a 21‑day financial due‑diligence process into about 45 minutes—and improve anti‑money‑laundering compliance, while still requiring human supervision in regulated sectors such as banking and insurance.
