AI Governance Survey Shows Recruiters Still Rely on Human Oversight

A recent survey by Hudson Talent Solutions found that 94% of talent acquisition professionals consider AI-generated insights frequently inaccurate, underscoring the continued need for human judgment in hiring decisions. While AI improves efficiency and job satisfaction, respondents stressed that ethical considerations, candidate experience, and final decision‑making must remain human‑led.

Separately, ISO/IEC 42001:2023 introduces the first international standard for an Artificial Intelligence Management System, requiring organizations to define their roles—producer, provider, or user—and to address responsibilities such as policy creation, risk assessment, and performance monitoring. The standard emphasizes role awareness to ensure accountability and governance across AI deployments.

Together, the findings highlight businesses’ push toward AI adoption while recognizing that robust governance frameworks and human oversight are essential to mitigate inaccuracies and ethical risks.
