AI health startups June Health and Matic launch new tools for women’s care and physician workflow

Toronto‑based June Health announced it has raised C$2.4 million (US$1.7 million) in a seed round led by Securian Canada, with participation from AgeTech Capital and other investors. The company pairs clinician‑trained artificial intelligence with physicians, nurse practitioners, psychotherapists and dietitians to provide faster, integrated women's health services, covering preventive care, hormonal and sexual health, chronic conditions and family planning.

In the United States, Dallas‑based Matic introduced NEW PX, an AI‑driven clinical workflow platform designed to reduce documentation burdens and improve patient‑physician interactions. Founded by Dr. Alex Sheppert, who combined medical training with AI expertise, and co‑led by entrepreneur Calvin Carter, Matic acquired the AI documentation startup ScribeMatic and now offers AI agents for chart summarization, care‑plan development, coding and referral management. Both companies aim to streamline care delivery and expand access through artificial‑intelligence technology.
