AI industry developments: Proximal revenue claims and OpenAI premium tier leaks

AI company Proximal claims to have achieved $200 million in annual revenue through the development of synthetic data and autonomous coding evaluation infrastructure. However, these financial figures have not been independently verified through public filings or third-party data.

Proximal is focusing on creating high-difficulty training data for coding agents by simulating long-term development processes. To evaluate these capabilities, the company released the FrontierSWE benchmark. In the latest V2 version, which allows up to 20 hours of work time per task, Claude Fable 5.1 led with a 56.29% success rate, followed by GPT-5.6 at 32.2% and GLM-5.3 at 30.2%.

Separately, leaks from the ChatGPT website suggest OpenAI may be preparing a high-end ‘Pro Max’ subscription plan priced at $500 per month. While OpenAI has not officially confirmed this, the leaked information indicates the tier could offer faster access to agent tools, codex capabilities, and increased storage capacity.
