AI agentic technology drives new marketing models, security concerns and trust architecture

AI agentic systems are moving from simple automation to full result delegation in marketing, with 90% of Martech stacks now incorporating autonomous agents that can plan, execute and optimise campaigns without continual human oversight. This shift raises security challenges: uncontrolled "shadow AI" deployments, excessive privileged access and indirect query injection create a hidden attack surface that traditional identity controls cannot manage.

The rapid expansion of AI terminology—AGI, agents, tokens, hallucinations—reflects a maturing ecosystem where understanding of concepts such as LLMs, compute power and specialised coding agents is becoming essential for practitioners. At the same time, developers are urged to embed "trust architecture" into AI products, providing source references, confidence indicators and human‑review options so users can assess the reliability of AI outputs.
