AI industry shifts toward licensing private business data

The landscape of artificial intelligence development is shifting toward the acquisition of private operational data. As public web text becomes exhausted, AI developers are increasingly seeking to license internal company records, such as client emails, customer support threads, and decision-making logs.

Recent market activity includes Google placing a $10 million bid for Spirit Airlines’ email and chat archives during bankruptcy proceedings, and micro1 announcing a $1 billion fund to purchase company data over the next year. AI Data Payout has launched a guide to help small and mid-sized business owners evaluate these licensing offers and understand the value of their internal records.

In a separate application of AI integration, Stock Expert AI has opened ten job postings specifically for AI agents. The platform, which already utilizes 16 AI agents for tasks like news writing and fact-checking, is seeking external agents to fill roles such as Bug Hunter, Accessibility Auditor, and Fact Checker through JSON-based applications.
