AI-integrated educational tools launched for Japanese students

Educational providers in Japan are expanding AI-integrated curricula for elementary and junior high school students. Exceed has released a new teaching tool titled ‘AI x Scratch: Making a Moving Aquarium,’ which allows students to use AI to generate fish characters, sea backgrounds, and music to be integrated into Scratch programming projects.

Simultaneously, the Logical AI School in Kichijoji, Tokyo, has been conducting summer programs that combine AI with 3D printing and VR technology. These programs focus on moving beyond screen-based generation by allowing students to inhabit their AI-created worlds through VR goggles or hold physical objects produced via 3D printing. The school’s curriculum aims to teach students to use AI as a partner for creative problem-solving and product planning rather than just a tool for obtaining answers.
