AI integration advances medical technology and clinical trial workflows

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being integrated into the medical technology and pharmaceutical sectors to streamline complex workflows. In medical device software development, AI offers potential to alleviate the heavy manual workload associated with verification and validation (V&V) processes, such as managing traceability matrices and requirement changes.

In the pharmaceutical development field, Suvoda has introduced Sofia, an AI assistant available for all new clinical studies using its specialized platforms. The assistant is integrated into Suvoda’s RTSM/IRT and eCOA product lines, covering over 40 different areas to assist sponsors, contract research organizations (CROs), and study centers. To meet strict clinical documentation requirements, the system maintains a complete audit trail for all actions. Additionally, the implementation addresses security concerns through a zero-data storage approach to protect sensitive information.
