AI integration drives evolution in media and advertising sectors
The media and advertising industries are increasingly looking toward Artificial Intelligence to drive growth and professional evolution. In Ghana, media professional Peter Agyen has urged aspiring journalists and broadcasters to embrace AI as a tool for research, content production, data analysis, and audience engagement rather than viewing it as a threat.
Agyen emphasized that media institutions should equip students with the technological skills necessary to navigate a changing landscape where news is produced and consumed differently.
Simultaneously, a study by Oxford Road and Cumulus Media suggests that audio platforms like podcasts and radio offer a strategic growth path for AI brands. While the AI market is projected to reach $4.8 trillion by 2033, many brands face awareness challenges. The research indicates that heavy audio listeners show higher levels of AI awareness and adoption compared to the general public, suggesting that tailored audio messaging could help build consumer trust and brand recognition.
