AI integration expands in casino operations and sports betting pricing
Artificial intelligence is increasingly being integrated into the core operations of the gambling and sports betting industries, moving from experimental features to functional commercial tools.
BetHog, a crypto casino and sportsbook founded by former FanDuel creators, is testing AI-powered live dealers. Through its B2B platform, Sentient Studios, the company offers an AI blackjack dealer named Sunny. This model aims to allow casino tables to scale without the staffing constraints of traditional human-led studios. BetHog has raised a total of $16 million in funding to support these developments.
In the sports betting sector, AI is rapidly taking over market-making and pricing responsibilities. Data from Kambi indicates a significant shift in automation: in 2025, 48% of bets across its network were priced using AI-driven trading models, a substantial increase from 28% in 2024 and just 4% in 2022. While human traders remain part of the workflow, automated systems are increasingly responsible for assigning probabilities, updating lines, and managing risk in real-time.
