Schneider Electric expands manufacturing in Querétaro

Schneider Electric is expanding its manufacturing capacity in Querétaro, Mexico, with a project involving three industrial facilities covering approximately 115,000 square meters. Two of these plants are already completed, while a third is planned for a future growth phase.

The expansion is projected to create more than 4,000 direct jobs by the end of 2027, with the company currently hiring between 200 and 250 employees per month. Additionally, the project is expected to generate between 7,000 and 8,000 indirect jobs by 2028. The new facilities will utilize an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) scheme to manufacture specialized solutions for electrical distribution and critical energy infrastructure.

This move brings Schneider Electric’s total to 12 manufacturing plants in Mexico. Company executives noted that the expansion aims to meet the increasing demand for energy solutions in North and Central America, leveraging the specialized technical talent available in the Querétaro region.
