AI integration expands in risk management and fleet operations

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being integrated into specialized industrial sectors, specifically in risk management and fleet operations, to replace manual workflows and fragmented data systems.

In risk management, AI is being used to address the limitations of traditional processes, which often rely on spreadsheets and subjective judgment. According to the 2026 State of GRC report by GRC Engineer, 59% of governance, risk, and compliance practitioners still use spreadsheets or custom tools. AI aims to provide continuous, data-driven programs that improve risk scoring consistency and reduce reporting delays.

In the fleet management sector, companies are deploying AI agents and hardware to drive return on investment. Trimble has launched Arc, an AI agent designed to autonomously perform office tasks like report analysis and data entry by connecting to existing data systems. Similarly, Motive provides AI-powered solutions, including dash cams that monitor driver behavior. Motive reports that its AI dashcam technology has helped prevent over 170,000 accidents and significantly reduced collision-related costs for its customers.
