AI integration shifts workplace focus toward accuracy and quality control

Recent surveys conducted by Amana Inc. and Axis Consulting reveal shifting dynamics in the workplace due to generative AI. Contrary to fears of widespread job displacement—which only 5.8% of workers cited as a primary concern—the integration of AI is creating new burdens and specialized roles.

Amana Inc.’s research highlights a generational gap in decision-making confidence; 77.3% of AI users in their 20s reported difficulty in selecting and evaluating AI outputs, compared to 43.2% of those in their 50s. Approximately three out of four professionals feel a significant burden in human-centric tasks such as prompt creation, output revision, evaluation, and final decision-making.

Axis Consulting’s findings indicate that accuracy is the top concern for AI users at 49.4%, followed by information leakage (41.8%). Instead of replacing workers, AI is generating new responsibilities, most notably in output verification and quality control (40.8%), information management, and AI utilization design. The data suggests that while AI increases production speed, the human role is shifting toward managing, auditing, and refining AI-generated content.
