AI integration transforms software engineering workflows and team dynamics

The integration of artificial intelligence into software engineering is driving a fundamental shift in professional workflows and team dynamics. While AI tools offer instant, non-judgmental assistance for debugging and problem-solving, they present an isolation paradox where developers may choose solitary AI interaction over spontaneous human collaboration.

To better understand these shifts, a new workflow named Backlog Loop was developed and released on GitHub. This project involved building an AI-driven software factory to observe how such systems impact learning, habits, and real-world application. The goal was to move beyond marketing claims and identify the practical mental models required to interact with AI systems effectively while maintaining professional efficacy.
