AI Money University to host book reading groups on Japanese agriculture

AI Money University Co., Ltd. has announced a series of online book reading groups scheduled for mid-August 2026. The sessions, conducted via Zoom and free of charge, will be led by instructor and company consultant Yutaka Yamanaka.

The first session focuses on ‘Kireigoto Nuki no Nogyo-ron’ (Agricultural Theory Without Platitudes) by Tatsuo Hisamatsu. The discussion will examine agriculture through the lens of management, technology, and economic rationality rather than emotional or idealized perspectives, covering topics such as organic farming, distribution, and subsidies.

The second session will center on ‘Dare ga Nogyo o Korosu no ka’ (Who is Killing Agriculture?) by Shinsuke Kubota and Ryoko Yamaguchi. This session aims to critique Japanese agricultural policy, questioning whether current protectionist measures and subsidies hinder the industry's ability to become a self-sustaining business. Key discussion points include land abandonment, large-scale farming, and food security.
