Ai Ogura wins MotoGP Dutch Grand Prix, Marches to Victory at Assen
Japanese rider Ai Ogura secured his first MotoGP win at the Assen Grand Prix, finishing ahead of teammate Raúl Fernández. The Aprilia trio completed the podium with Jorge Martín in third place, and Martín’s result propelled him to the lead of the world‑riders’ standings, seven points clear of Italy’s Marco Bezzecchi.
Bezzecchi suffered a heavy crash early in the race, was taken to the circuit medical centre and later transferred to Groningen for further assessment. Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia retired with a brake problem.
Pramac Yamaha reported a mixed weekend: in MotoGP the team struggled with vibration‑related issues that forced Razgatlıoğlu to retire and limited Jack Miller to a 12th‑place finish, while in Moto2 the squad celebrated a fourth place for Izan Guevara and a strong debut from Alberto Ferrández.
Team managers highlighted technical progress on the Aprilia RS‑GP, noting improved aerodynamics, electronics and tyre management that allowed the riders to dominate the race.
